Chinese Village house continues, and today Beth has transformed the porch. Yet again, she has selected some of my very
favorite things, starting with Giclées from The Pink Pagoda! I am crazy about the Lilly Pulitzer “Tail
Lights” fabric by Lee Jofa, and those Chinoiserie ceiling fans are amazing!! Click
here to learn more about this historic
Chinese home, located in Coral Gables, Florida. And stay tuned, as next week
Beth takes on a bedroom!
For the porch of the Chinese Village House, I decided to go classic Palm Beach Chic with pink and green and Lilly Pulitzer. The walls are painted kelly green. The floors will be covered wall to wall in seagrass layered with a black and white zebra rug. Two black and gold Chinoiserie ceiling fans with lights will provide both lighting and a breeze.
Lilly Pulitzer Collection furniture will be placed in two groups for lounging and for eating, but the furniture is light and flexible and can easily be moved and regrouped as needed for entertaining. A collection of Chinoiserie prints in pink are by The Pink Pagoda. This room is filled with iconic Chinoiserie – elephants, Chinese Chippendale, pagodas, dragons, fretwork, black and gold, gingers jars – I love it!
