One Room Challenge Week One

Linda at Calling it Home is one of my absolute favorite bloggers.  She is so kind, helpful, and EXTREMELY talented... she also helped me score my coveted and treasured Pagoda mirror, and she will soon be my neighbor here in Florida! I am a huge fan of her One Room Challenge, and I was delighted when she announced that she was opening up the challenge to all bloggers via a very hip linking party.

I immediately wanted to enter, but I'm still buried in boxes from our recent move, and quite frankly about to lose my mind thanks to our never-ending home renovation...  Yet at the eleventh hour I have decided to go for it and link up to ORC!

Many of you have been asking about the hand-painted Chinoiserie "faux Gournay" wallpaper I had commissioned for our powder room from Silk Castle Trade and Industrial Company in Beijing for a fraction of the cost of real de Gournay.  Well, it was just installed, and over the next six weeks, I will detail the experience and feature our powder room/cabana bath transformation.

Here is what this room looked like when we purchased our home...

And here is what it looks like today...

I will also report on the high-end finishes I scored via eBay and Craigslist (to be installed) to complete the luxurious feel of this powder room. I hope you will follow along!
