One Room Challenge Week Four

I cannot believe it is already Week Four of the One Room Challenge, created by Linda of Calling it Home. If you are just tuning in, please click over to Week OneWeek Two, and Week Three to get caught up. Over a six week timeframe, 20 bloggers (including yours truly!) are transforming one room and posting our updates each Wednesday. I am decorating my home office, featuring Lilly Pulitzer's personal desk purchased at auction in February.

Last week, I wrote about my bookcase styling issues, and I am so grateful for all of your sweet comments and suggestions! Styling a bookcase can be tricky, and there are a lot of varying opinions on how to get the job done... Several of you suggested declutering/editing, and several of you suggested I color code my books. My friend Junell from Seekers Bazaar even sent over this link from the fabulous Frances Schultz with the brilliant idea to create zen by turning books sideways! And finally, a LOT of you loved the Chinese porcelain on top, which in my book proves you can never have too much blue and white!

I'll most likely be making a few edits to my bookcase, but not too many, for my big reveal. In the meantime, here is what else I have been up to...

The Three Wise Monkeys from Jennifer at The Pink Pagoda arrived! They are a perfect complement to the Lilly Pulitzer for Garnet Hill sheet in the "Lucky Charms" print I purchased for my DIY bulletin board, which I will write about next week.

They will go in these mirrored frames from West Elm. I ordered them after seeing how fabulous they looked when Stephanie Krauss used them to showcase some of Jennifer's botanical prints (above).

The Three Wise Monkeys will be hung above the vintage Gampel Stoll elephant console I scored at a local estate sale.  I also tucked a blue and white Chinese porcelain planter and palm in the corner. It may be too big for the space, so I might swap it out for something smaller.

I ordered a few of these storage bins the other week from the Rue La La Lilly Pulitzer gifts sale. What lucky timing... they are in Lilly's Lucky Charms print! I think they will add the perfect pop of color tucked under my elephant console, while also serving as much needed storage space for my plethora of design magazines.

The Lucite armchair I ordered from Amazon for $99 (including shipping) arrived, and it looks fantastic! My upholsteror is working on a pillow case, which will also be Lilly Pulitzer's Lucky Charms.

I fell in love with this new pencil holder Jennifer wrote about on Monday, now in stock at The Pink Pagoda. It will be perfect for keeping my desk organized!

That's about it for this week! Please head over to see what the other amazing ORC participants are up to... And you will want to visit Calling it Home again tomorrow for updates from the fabulous Linking Participants tomorrow!
