A Vibrant Family Lake Home

The June issue of Traditional Home magazine features this amazing vacation house on Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay, and it is just too good to be missed! Every inch of the 8,000 square foot Nantucket-inspired, shingled home is decked out in a tropical pallet of colors and some of my favorite patterns from the likes of Lilly Pulitzer, Jonathan Adler, Sister Parish, and Brunschwig & Fils.

The owners teamed up with designer Elizabeth Schmidt, Michigan-based architect Robert Ben Begley, and builder David Webster to create a heavenly getaway boasting water views from nearly every room. Let's take a look inside!

I don't know about you, but I could pack my toothbrush and move in tomorrow! For more pictures and information on this lake home, please pick up a copy of the June 2014 issue of Traditional Home, or click here for more online.

  8. What fun colors. I love it but my husband would give the design a big fat two thumbs down. I think he has an aversion to pink. Men.
