Designer Show House Round Up 2016

I love a good designer show house, and some amazing homes and talent have been showcased this year... Therefore, I thought it would be fun to highlight a few of my favorites from the Junior League of Boston, the Palm Beach American Red Cross Designers’ Show House, the Junior League of Miami, Traditional Home's Southern Style Now, and Kips Bay. I'll also share a sneak peek of designers to watch in the upcoming 2016 Southern Living Idea House.

Let's start with the Junior League of Boston, which celebrated its 45th Anniversary of Show House May 7-June 5. The 2016 Decorators’ Show House was held in the beautiful and historic 1854 Nathaniel Allen House in Newton, Massachusetts...

The American Red Cross celebrated the 40th year of the Designers' Show House, Palm Beach, February 25 - March 26. It was held in a 1938 Art Deco-style fire station that was refashioned a decade ago into a 4,500-square-foot house...

The Junior League of Miami Showhouse was held April 7-24 at The Kampong, a National Tropical Botanical Garden. The 1920s home and nine-acre waterfront garden was created by famed plant exporter, Dr. David Fairchild, and his wife Marian, the daughter of Alexander Graham Bell...

This year, Traditional Home magazine opened its first-ever Southern Style Now show house in a New Orleans Queen Ann Victorian built in 1895. It features the work of 27 designers, and hopefully will be a new annual tradition. Traditional Home's Southern Style Now is open through June 12....

New York’s legendary Kips Bay Decorator Show House has been a must see event since 1973, typically staged in a glamorous early-20th-century townhouse. All proceeds benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. The 2016 show house is being held through June 9...

And last but not least, I am anxiously awaiting the opening of the 2016 Southern Living Idea House at the end of this month... Two of my favorite designers will be featured!

I cannot wait to see more! Which show houses have you attended, and do you have a favorite? I particularly love the traditional rooms (traditional decor is making a comeback!) and all of the fabulous color!
