Bailey McCarthy's Whimsical and Colorful Texas Home

Have you seen the February issue of House Beautiful? It is chock-full of gorgeousness, including Bailey McCarthy's stunning Texas home. I have been following Bailey for years, initially through her blog, and it has been a joy to watch her interior design business and home goods store, Biscuit Home, expand. And now after a two-year renovation, her current home is revealed and the results are absolutely stunning. Photography by Trevor Tondro for House Beautiful.

Bailey lacquered the walls and ceiling of the living room using Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace. The curtains are GP & J Baker fabric, and the custom sofa is upholstered in a ScalamandrĂ© stripe. Circa 1950s glass lamps from Jan Showers and vintage elephant garden stools are perfect accessories.

The dining room features Decor Chinois wallpaper from Zuber.

In the kitchen, Bailey added glamour with a brass counter and hardware. The backsplash is marble and the Sub-Zero refrigerator panels are painted Onyx by Benjamin Moore.

The library was an unsightly 1960s addition, which Bailey updated with sliding doors and white-oak millwork.

The mirrored bar was lacquered in Benjamin Moore's Summer Nights and features Sandberg's Raphaël wallpaper and a white-onyx counter, creating a jewel box effect.

The master features silk wallcovering by Donghia and chairs in Scalamandré's Leopardo. A Damien Hirst print hangs above the bed, and the bedding is Bloomsbury Green from Biscuit Home.

During the renovation, Bailey doubled the size of the master bathroom. She used Davlin gold-leaf glass tiles from Ann Sacks and Calacatta Gold marble. An antique Murano glass chandelier adds an additional dose of bling.

Bailey designed a "full-on princess fantasy" for her daughter's bedroom with a bed canopy in Seraphina, a beautiful floral by Designers Guild. The pouf and bedding, Grace Blue, are from Biscuit Home.

Zoffany wallpaper frames a niche in the guest bedroom. The bedding is Wimberley in Coral from Biscuit Home.

In her son's bedroom, an Andy Warhol print of General Custer accents Cambridge Stripe wallpaper from Cole & Son.

Celerie Kemble's Lane Venture collection creates the perfect setting for outdoor entertaining on a new flagstone patio.
