Everything is very elegant and lovely, and she has wonderful taste. But for the absence of a crèche, one would never know that the Lauders are Jewish. Christmas trees abound and not a menorah in sight.
Beautiful photos, but I’m confused. Estee Lauder was as Jew so Aerin must be too. Why is she celebrating Christmas and not Hannukah? The Lauder family is one of the largest benefactors of the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe (The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation) and Ronald Lauder is the president of the World Jewish Congress.
Several Palm Beach Jewish families celebrate Christmas. Mrs. Joseph Cole said, I do it for the grandkids. Besides it’s fun for us at home. We should all be a little more tolerant of others. We need more love and less judging.

I totally agree with you. With a shame. It appears they may embarrassed to be Jewish.
On a very gray November day on the Cape , your post was just what I needed! Beautiful!

Her husband Eric Zinterhofer is also Jewish.
Hello Cynthia and Miri,
According to Elle Decor, Aerin and her family celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. http://www.elledecor.com/celebrity-style/celebrity-homes/news/a1682/aerin-lauder-holiday-decor-secrets/

Thanks, Andrea! Love your website. I visit it everyday!
Thank you, Andrea. How lovely to celebrate each holiday. The best of both worlds, and another excuse to decorate!
