What a lovely house! I love the whole thing!
Mark Sikes is such a great decorator……and his work is so fitting for Montecito! (where I live!)
Call me old-fashioned……but, I consider Tudor English……and “French Tudor” a misnomer. I would call architecture that style “French Normandy”. Not “French Tudor”. Just sayin’!
Great article in House Beautiful!
Agree, Penelope. Tudor is English and French is typically “Normandy” (asymmetrical with towers) or that of the Chateau (Maison) with deep hipped or mansard roofs, more indicative of architecture found in the country–all beautiful in their own right.
Would be nice to see exterior to better envision the lovely interior.
The return of wallpaper in it’s quintessentially, timeless and pleasing place is a welcome treat. I’ve wallpapered every room in my new home (ceilings in some as well) except for one. It sums up the essence of cohesive, timeless decor.
Just lovely! Must be nice to have such a beautiful “vacation” home and in Montecito no less! It’s one of my favorite towns! I would love to live in that enchanting place although I doubt I could even afford a dog house there. I agree with Penelope about Tudor being an English style and Normandy being a French style. Would love to see more of the exterior! Still …thanks for sharing this charming abode! xo

Lovely!
I’m very glad to see that wallpaper is making a return appearance, at least among designers. Thanks for that, all of you!
