  1. Honestly,
You make my day! The care you put into your posts is impressive…..so beautiful and interesting….never trite.

  2. What a fun post Andrea! I love them all too but particularly the one on the water in Florida ❤️❤️❤️and “the money Pitt” (aren’t they all??) house in Lattingtown which reminds me too of Cary Grant’s house In “Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House”. So funny.

  3. The house in Palmyra New York is absolutely exquisite! I looked @ the video tour. I hope that the new owners will listen to the house and not strip it of all it’s architectural beauty. Please do not turn this gorgeous house into a modern eyesore with stark white or gray walls with gray floors nor paint over all the beautiful wood…or make it look like a flipped fixer upper!

And yes Andrea the real estate post is a good idea ?

  4. Wow, I’m blown away by these listings. They’re all so extraordinary in their own way. From the über stylish Coral Gables home to the traditional manses, there’s a lot here to love. The Coral Gables house is so well presented and appealing, with water, boats, chic interiors, and expansive living. And I see so many beautiful houses in and around Lake Forest, Illinois. Newport, Atlanta, Palm Beach, Washington, Manhattan, Gold Coast, Savannah, Coral Gables – how to choose? I’ll take them all! 🙂

  5. It’s hard to believe that gorgeous one in Georgia is only $1.75 mm!!!! Isn’t it interesting how real estate prices vary around the United States! I love this post. It is always so much fun to look at other people’s homes. I miss Hooked on Houses, too…

    Thanks for sharing.

  6. I just loved this post! I will save it and go back and look at it again…and again. Thanks for all that you do!

  7. Hard to choose. They are all BEAUTIFUL and landscaping BEAUTIFUL! I AGREE WITH KRISTENE…DON’T STRIP THESE HOMES OF REAL ARCHITECTURE!!! Love the real estate post.

  8. So beautiful and I can’t believe the prices compared to out here on the California coast. I love all the history and hope the new owners keep the original charm. Thanks for your lovely post!

  9. So sad to see Mrs Altschul former residence so changed and all the beauty and charm of Mario Buatta gone , and now filled mostly with gaudy furniture and mirrored ceilings (????) What a pity.

  10. Just took a look at the maisonette- (Dolly Lenz listing pics) it shows how a decorator such as Mr. B or Mrs. P can make all the difference-

  11. This is my favorite pastime as well!! I just adore your blog but love finding out that someone else loves the real estate listings too! The Money Pit house was our inspiration when My husband and I built our home, fascinating to see the real home as well! Thank you for sharing you beautiful blog and talent with us..

  12. What beautiful homes and fabulous furnishing!. Funny I should run across this today because I had pinned a bathroom with chinoiserie wallpaper (blue) and gold mirror with crystal sconces. I have been looking all day to find that wallpaper!!! Finally found it here, BUT I am no better off because I still don’t know the pattern?? Could you possibly tell me what it is (I”m sure it is way above my price range). Maybe I can find one similar for less somewhere. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with the name of the pattern and maker (it may be hand painted – probably is). Whatever you can find out for me would be so appreciated. Love the Glam Pad. Always in for a treat.
