Being limited on square footage doesn’t have to mean limiting style, and this 500-square-foot Georgetown row house is proof! Designer Mary Douglas Drysdale utilized a monochromatic palette and infused family heirlooms to make the circa 1900 home feel sunny and bright. Her clients were empty nesters downsizing from a five-bedroom house in the suburbs. They also have a house in Cape Cod, which serves as the primary gathering place for the family, but they wanted a one-bedroom town house in the city.
