Designer Lee Ann Thornton is known for balancing style and comfort, and she firmly believes elegance and practicality can be combined for today’s family living. This belief is perfectly demonstrated in her own home, which you can tour exclusively at The Glam Pad today! Built in 1926, Lee Ann’s home is an old captain’s house located in the waterfront Belle Haven neighborhood of Greenwich, Connecticut. Its picturesque location offers views of boats and swans in the waters below. Her intention was always to keep this happy home in its original state, and homey touches were added throughout with cabinets, paint, and wallpaper.
“We throw constant dinner parties throughout the year. Summer is primarily spent on the porch overlooking Greenwich Harbor amongst the abundant antique English rose garden,” said Lee Ann. “Fall and winter are spent indoors in front of a roaring fire cooking for family and friends! Enjoying the beautiful seasons!”
Lee Ann is an exceptional host, and she has recently started to post tips via Instagram. Her passion for pottery and China can be seen throughout the home including her collection from The Ivy in Los Angeles, Burleigh’s Asiatic Pheasants, and a family heirloom cabinet in the dining room she lined in de Gournay wallpaper. Let’s take a look inside with photography by Karyn Millet!
