There is something incredibly charming and cozy about the slanted ceilings, eaves, dormer windows, and quirky angles in attic bedrooms and rooms often found in older homes. A wonderful way to embrace the asymmetry and maximize the space is by enveloping the room with wallpaper or upholstered fabric. The all-over pattern creates a cocoon-like oasis that will have you wanting to snuggle up with a good book or cup of tea. Today, let’s explore 35+ lovely rooms certain to inspire. Enjoy!

Do you love these unique interiors as much as I do? We have two rooms in our new home with angled ceilings… I cannot wait to share!

Wonderful post, loved all the coziness!

Oh Andrea I love this post! These rooms are so cozy as you say! Thank you for sharing. ❤️ Elizabeth
The Tucker & Marks green Toile and Colfax & Fowler green Ginkgo are my faves. However, ALL are perfection.
Holy wallpaper, Batman!!
I can’t wait to see your spin on your two spaces!
Oh, I love attic bedrooms. In my grandparents’ guest house for their children and grandchildren, my favorite cousin and I shared the attic bedroom and it was enchanting–I loved our very special skylight, which we would leave open at night, and it was magical. It’s always been my dream to create such a special place for my son!! I’m bookmarking this post for future inspiration!
Love all of these! So charming

Gosh I’m so glad you didn’t make us choose our very favorite room. But since you might want to know I love Libby Cameron’s. And the attached bathroom! All rooms used fab fabrics and bedding, hands down all winners. These decorators all have visions that became a beautiful reality. I love this blog!!

I’ve never had an attic bedroom, but if I ever do, these are simply charming…such a delightful tour! Thanks.
I read a lot of blog posts!! This is great content work.
Nice article! Thanks for sharing your article.
So glad to come along this post. We are moving into a 110+ year old 1-1/2 story house, and our primary bedroom will be upstairs with angled ceilings. The bed will have to go under the slope. The room will feel so much cozier with wallpaper, but I needed inspo photos to show my husband, and I also needed examples to see how I might want to run the wallpaper. Great post!
