At Home with Elyce Arons of Frances Valentine

Written by Natalie Aldridge.

Elyce Arons, co-founder and CEO of Frances Valentine, is no stranger to the power of color. Her journey began in publicity and marketing, but she changed paths as one of the founding forces behind the iconic Kate Spade brand. Alongside Kate Spade, Kate’s husband Andy, and Pamela Bell, Elyce launched the beloved company from the modest confines of a downtown New York apartment.

When Elyce first crossed paths with Kate while attending the University of Kansas, she could never have imagined that the polo-shirt-clad Missouri girl would not only become her best friend but also profoundly shape her destiny. Dorm-mates and fast friends, their lives revolved around fraternity parties and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Yet within a decade, they were hustling together in New York City—working day jobs and pouring their nights into creating a line of handbags that would ultimately redefine the accessories industry.

After selling Kate Spade, the duo set their sights on a new venture, Frances Valentine. Following the untimely passing of the beloved Kate Spade, Elyce has carried their shared vision forward, transforming Frances Valentine into a vibrant, vintage-inspired brand celebrated for its bold use of color and timeless femininity.

Today, we’re thrilled to offer you a glimpse into Elyce’s wonderful world.

Also, Frances Valentine is currently offering up to 75% off through their Warehouse Sale, and 10% of sale profits will be donated to The Red Cross to support LA relief and rescue.
