Last week I posted this gorgeous bookcase vingette by Larry Hooke on Instagram. After several requests to see more of the room, I decided to do a little research… and it is truly stunning. The wallpaper resembles Zuber, and it pairs beautifully with Lee Jofa’s hand-blocked Chinese Lantern chintz. A sisal rug, painted bamboo chairs, mahogany accents, and leopard velvet pillows add the finishing touch. The result is perfection!
Breathtaking, yes? Images via My Notting Hill and Houzz. Larry Hooke’s website is not active, but you can still see more of his work via Houzz.

LOVE the wallpaper. Everything else is wonderful too, but for the sisal. Never been a fan of sisal. A plush rug of some kind would have made this room cushier. Thanks for introducing a new designer. I hope we will be hearing more about Larry Hooke.
I like the sisal
Although it's become a bit overdone
Love the euro inspired mood of his work
Decadent
Sisal is hard on the feet and paws. Or no carpet or rug. It’s a gorgeous room. The Zuber like mural makes the room. Larry Hooke. A name to watch.
I like the American feel to it, with a twist of the continent.
