Thanks to Instagram, Palm Beach-based photographer Carmel Brantley of Brantley Photography has become a friend, and she often sends me fabulous projects she and her team have shot that she knows I will love. I have always admired the work of Jack Fhilips, also in Palm Beach, and I was thrilled when she sent this gorgeous blue and white beach house he designed.
This Palm Beach home showcases Jack’s collective process. “The client wanted the house to look like it had been done over time instead of the six weeks we had,” he said. “Most of fabrics are Brunschwig & Fils and had quick turnaround times. Six week projects of a large scale are not impossible. It takes a massive crew working together and around each other. A lot of the fabrics were all weather proof materials due to the proximity to the water. The nautical effect played into it as did a special traditional approach. The client did not want your everyday transitional look of today.”

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
Andrea, thank you for sharing this beautiful project by designer Jack Fhillips! So happy Instagram brought us together!
Beautiful! Do you know the name of the blue bird fabric on the chairs and sofa in the living room? I have the same fabric on two chairs.
Wonderfully captured by Carmel Brantley. Makes me want to be there and just sink in. So traditional, and hallelujah for that. No watered down, bleached out version of design. This is the real thing, and so inviting. That blue living room! Mmmmm… Love it. Thank you, Carmel, Jack, and of course, Andrea.
Have always loved his work, ever since I visited his shop in PB. An old friend, Gary, once worked for Mr. Fhillips. Great post!
Beautiful house!
Lovely! The house itself appears to be mid twentieth century and I really like it. Do you happen to know anything about it? Thanks!
Beautiful.
love the traditional approach – too many updates display the ‘look of today’
My gosh, this is all so unbelievably beautiful! Is there any chance that you could tell me where the cane-back bamboo desk chair is from? I would love it for my B&B!
Hi Sandy,
I am sorry, I do not know. You would need to ask the designer, Jack Fhillips. Best of luck and thank you for visiting my blog!
Xx,
Andrea

It’s an Eicholtz. Can only find in black.
Love , love, love it. I, too, would like to have the source of the bamboo desk chair, or possibly have an email for Jack Fhillips? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Love this home!! Everything about it is so beautiful! I can’t imagine waking up in the master bedroom in the morning! Love all the artwork on the walls! Just over the top !!!
