Beautiful post, thanks for putting it together!
Oh, what a beautiful and inspiring post Andrea. And the stocking-fillers guide was fun too. I have complete mantlepiece-envy after reading this post: we have two large inglenook fireplaces in our home here in UK. With big black wood burning stoves in them. My mean hubby won’t let me install mantelpieces as they’re not ‘authentic’ to the period or style of our house (17th century old forge). Nor will he allow me to put hooks up above the fireplace so I can hang a garland or two: everything has to go on the floor of the fireplace! Meanwhile I shall dream of elegant, Georgian style fireplaces, draped with beautiful greenery and a lovely, useful mantlepiece to display treasured items on. I love your posts so much. Many thanks as always. Maria.
Hi Maria,
Oh, I understand how you feel! We live in Florida and do not even have a fireplace! 🙁 These will be the only beautiful mantels I see this Christmas. Thank you so much for the kind words, and happy holidays!
Xx,
Andrea
This was a treat to view! Enjoyed the gift guide and got several ideas. Grinning here as I always buy a box of Queen Anne chocolate covered cherries…..I am the only one who eats them and I am ridiculed for it! I now feel vindicated. Thank you!
Thank you for a beautiful post. Also, so pleased you included Nell Hill in the mantel decorations. Mary Carol Garrity is the owner of Nell Hill and we are so fortunate to have her in Kansas City. I visit her often!
Thanks again,
Dona
Wow, what a lovely set of mantel images. I missed this the first time around by not scrolling down far enough. So many great ideas here. Thank you.
