In celebration of the Fourth of July weekend, I am delighted to share this summer retreat designed by Brian Paquette. Located on Whidbey Island, the current owner was ready for an update to the home that has been in her family since the 1950s. Her only request: an abundance of ticking and a red, white, and blue palette reminiscent of her childhood retreat. Channeling his inner Sister Parish, Pacquette embraced the shingle-style home’s traditional style while giving it the slightest modern edge. Let’s take a look inside!

Oh I just looovvveee stripes the window treatments, the couch oh my goodness made my weekend. This is simply scrumptious.
Love the ticking and all the blue variety of prints on chairs, . pillows, lamps shades and other places. Suits the location too.
Wow! Beautiful, cheerful and elegant! I absolutely adore this house – a masterful use of these All American colors! ❤️🇺🇸

Very lovely, inviting without being at all pretentious and casually elegant.
Thank you for honoring the Fourth in such a beautiful way! I could cry that one day we may no longer be able to celebrate this most important day in our country’s history. Let us pray that it lives on forever! Happy 4th to you and yours! God Bless America!
Dear Dianne,
I know. 😔 But there is no problem insurmountable to God! Praying with all my might, especially this holiday. ❤️
