The September 2020 issue of Architectural Digest arrived yesterday, and I immediately fell in love with a charming old home in the French countryside belonging to Cordelia de Castellane, artistic director of Maison and Baby Dior. Constructed over several centuries with parts dating back to the 15th century, the home is adorned with climbing pink roses and surrounded by five lush acres and beautiful gardens. Inside are family heirlooms mixed with flea-market finds… “It’s a bit mix and match, but every piece has a story,” Cordelia told AD. The home serves as a weekend and summer retreat to Cordelia and her family who live in Paris. For the decor, Cordelia’s biggest influence was her mother, Laura (who also happens to be Emanuel Ungaro’s wife). Let’s take a look inside!

Love this post. Beautiful photos! The wallpapers and matching fabrics set the scene for french country. Enchanted….indeed!
That rose wallpaper and fabric in the first few photos – ethereal
When I lived in Paris, I was friends with a branch of the de Castellane family who own the family chateau in Perigord. This is classic chateau style, with family pieces and brocante additions. It’s charming. She’s done a marvelous job of making it a home.
