Now this is lovely—but in real life she surely would not allow a dog to rest on her white sofa like that. One rest by a dog on an uncovered couch and it’s a mess! Maybe for a photo shoot, but in real life in one has a dog, one must have dog throws that extends even across the entire couch. I just got a love seat and I had a beautiful cover, then another cover. Darn if one of our little dogs didn’t discover this place. So, I had to create another cover for the cover (as they are all lovely). I told myself, I will not go up to four covers (including slipcovers and throws). My dog covers are as chic as the couches themselves. Whenever I see a dog in a photo resting like that, I kind of think it is a bit of unreality thrown in. I guess this is why I like Bunny Williams who is very honest about the reality of living with dogs and what that entails.
Custom covers are such a chic idea… I learned about this from Carolyne Roehm in “At Home with Designers and their Dogs” and thought it was brilliant! Did you notice the quilts Julia has on her sofas for her doggies? So beautiful, I love that idea too! However, I have a feeling Gracie, Julia’s English cream dachshund (nicknamed “Le Rat”) comes and goes as she pleases… Fortunately Dachshunds are a low shedding breed! 🙂
Favorite. House. Ever!
Love her style, love her products. And she herself seems genuinely gracious and interesting.
Currently awaiting my latest IA purchase.
Thank you, Andrea, for another great post!!!
Her prints are gorgeous. I also love her dress at the end.
Heavenly!
