If you missed Black Friday shopping, do not fret… There is an updated list of Cyber Monday sales at the bottom of today’s post!
While compiling the sales guide for Black Friday, I noticed there were several fantastic sales on holiday china, and it made me wonder… what are your favorite patterns? We have Lenox Holiday, Spode Christmas Tree, and Bernardaud Grenadiers, which is sadly discontinued. Fortunately, you can still stock up via eBay and Replacements (Replacements is currently offering free shipping and $40 off orders of $250+). At Thanksgiving, we love His Majesty by Johnson Brothers. It was discontinued for many years, but is back this year at a great price here!
Below are inspirational images of my favorite china patterns for the holidays… Please tell us in the comments section what are yours?!

Hi Marisa,
That is beautiful!! I had never seen this pattern before, thank you so much for sharing! Love it!

Thank you Andrea. I think you would love the Christmas Magic from Vista Alegre. You should come to Portugal and visit the factory and compound of Vista Alegre, almost 200 years of history. (I live in the Azores islands though, much closer to USA).

That’s adorable! I love the sweet reindeer. I had been debating the Bernardaud Grenadiers chargers for a while (I have enough place settings for the immediate family) so pulled the trigger. I want the 20 canape plates also for future parties, but may have to wait for the next big sale and hope they stick around.
My holiday china is “Holly Ribbons” by Royal Worcester (made in England).
Beautiful photos and tabletop inspiration!
Mine is Lenox Holiday Nouveau…I love the tartan ribbon accent.
I have the Lenox Holiday Nouveau, which is “me”, I think. One of my daughters-in-law has the Bernardaud Grenadiers, which is also a great pattern, but then you can’t go wrong with any Christmas pattern that you love!
Poinsettia by Block Spal (Portuguese). I also have a set of red glass plates.
Link to a picture of Poinsettia. I love the watercolor effect.

I use Spode Christmas everyday in December but for special occasions I use Tiffany Christmas Garland. I love almost all holiday China patterns.
Thank you for sharing such inspiring tabletop photos. My Christmas pattern is Hearts and Pines by Porsgrund Norway.
Those are all beautiful tables. I’ve got four sets of china – none of them holiday, as I don’t have room to store another set, but I use the gold-encrusted Wawel china made in Poland. https://www.replacements.com/china-wawel-wav19-dinner-plate/p/86008561
ROYAL HUNT by Noritake! Beautiful tartan plaid on white ground edged in gold with foxes and deer mingled into the tartan border.
A classic my mother started for me 38 years ago. Still as gorgeous as ever!
Hi Vickie,
Oh my goodness, how gorgeous!!! I’m starting to regret having asked this question, because now I want all of these beautiful and festive china patterns, LOL!! Thank you for sharing!

Andrea

Mine is Spode Christmas Tree, but have limited myself to just finding pieces here and there (on my teacher’s budget). It is also not made in England anymore, alas. This past Saturday I answered a craigslist ad, and picked up a 10 serving set of Spode Christmas tree with all the dishes, baking dishes, servers…just about everything, for less than $200.00. The lady wanted it to go to a good home. She said she had many wonderful diners with it and now HER KIDS DON’T WANT IT. (obviously not grandmillenials) In the past year and a half I have gone from having no one to becoming the custodial grandmother of six full siblings ages 9-17. It is an honor to have these children, but I have had to accellerate my Christmas Spode collecting so I can lay down those memories for them ASAP. I feel so thankful to have a beautiful set for the kids to remember year in and year out.
Hi Sigrid,
What a lovely story! I hope you have a joyous holiday season with your new family, and enjoy your beautiful Spode Christmas Tree!

Andrea

I still want the discontinued Tiffany Pattern. It originally came in a cream background made in England, I think called Holiday Garland. Then changed to a white background, made in Japan, and changed names to just Holiday. (I may have that backwards). At any rate, they discontinued it about a year or two ago, and now it’s obscenely expensive. Noritake Fitzgerald Christmas pattern is another good one. Lenox Holiday Tartan is another. In the meantime, I’ve used an inexpensive American Atelier Floral winter. We have a lodge style place that it fit. When I upgrade, I think I’m still holding out for the Tiffany pattern, if I can ever find a deal on it lol!
Oh these are all such good ones!! The Tiffany is divine, I hope you find some! 🙂

Mine is Lenox Holiday that was started by my mother. I have always wanted Spode Christmas Rose, but it has been discontinued.
