Easter with Clary Bosbyshell

March 19, 2018

Easter is just around the corner (April 1!) and this charming tablescape by Atlanta designer Clary Bosbyshell of Margaux Interiors is certain to make your heart go hippity hop. Clary was inspired to create a whimsical Easter wonderland that captures the magic of childhood and celebrates the renewal of spring after a long awaited winter. Her enchanting tablescape is also sentimental as it incorporates meaningful family treasures that have been collected and passed down through the generations.

Clary’s mother in law, Susan Welsh Churchill, is a talented artist who has hand painted pillows for many famous interior designers, including Mario Buatta, the late Dan Carithers (who was her neighbor), and Ginny Magher.  She always loved Dodie Thayer pottery and began collecting pieces in her early 20s. When Tory Burch launched her Dodie Thayer for Tory Burch collaboration, Susan added several of Tory’s pieces to her collection.

The Easter trees were hand made by Susan’s mother, Rena, who has been making holiday trees for 35 years. The handmade porcelain eggs were also collected by Rena. The Beatrix Potter figurines were in Clary’s husband Graham’s nursery, and the Gramercy Fine Linens were made for Clary and Graham’s wedding at Sea Island in May of 2017. The vintage bamboo handled flatware (similar available here) was given to Clary and Graham by Clary’s parents as a wedding gift. This is such a special family tablescape!

      Dear Lillian,

I sent your concern to my tech support, and they cannot identify any reason that this would be happening. Is it only an issue you are experiencing on my blog, or are you seeing this on other websites as well?

      Thank you,
      Andrea

Just incredible, magical, marvelous, fantastic!!! I have a large collection of Beatrix Potter figurines and I’m pulling them out today and on to the table! I’d love to see a tutorial or step by step of how she assembles those trees and where she finds these miniature “ornaments.”
