Nestled amongst a bucolic 17 1/2 acres of land featuring beautiful live oak, pine, and magnolia trees, architect C. Brandon Ingram was commissioned to create a small grouping of classic southern buildings for his clients. Located 30 minutes outside Tallahassee, Florida, the properties include a main house and a secondary guest cottage, the latter of which county ordinances required to be more than 800 square feet. “Our driving design motive was to create a structure that felt as though it wanted to be small, not that it had to be small,” said Brandon. The result highlights some of the South’s best qualities… it is proper without pretense, graceful but not grandiose, and sophisticated yet subtle. Let’s take a tour with images from Southern Living and a few extras from Brandon’s portfolio…

Love the decorating of this lovely cottage. Wish it were mine.

Absolute perfection!!!
One word: want.
The Oak leaf cottage!! I absolutely love this home and i have saved every version of this home!! Always inspiring and its so charming and gracious.
I love the openness and brightness with colorful accessories.
The cottage looks just like me! At 82 years old I don’t think I am ready to built it——-but you never know!
It’s absolutely lovely and would be perfect for our future build. What was the cost of this home to build?
Very nice cottage. The front porch is the perfect introduction to the home.
How much does it cost to build?
Thk you
That is exactly what I need. I love the style and the open floor plan. What would it cost to have built on my property? Or can I buy the plans?
