When designer Heather Krijt and her husband Arnoud built their home in The Heights neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas, Heather’s goal was to make it feel like an old house. Inspired by the old Paris apartments, architectural details such as herringbone hardwood floors, an arched entry door, and an abundance of millwork do just the trick. She also wanted a house with a proper entry, a formal living room, and a formal dining room. Let’s take a look inside this cheerful and glamorous home! Photography is from At Home Arkansas.

Beautiful home!
This house gives me “the blues” in a good way. Love the colour schemes. Very pretty, but would have loved to see more of the dining area. Nice finishes, and the breakfast nook is inspired.
Hi Cynthia,
I know, I was trying to find more pictures as well! Such a beautiful home. 🙂

The Glam Pad
Exactly what comes to mind when I think of New Traditional. My favorite, clean not fussy.
I recently started following At home in Arkansas on Instagram and have enjoyed all their posts. I love this post of yours.. such a beautiful home with all the details. Yes its not from 1930s Paris but it evokes old world charm and glam!
Lovely, just lovely.
Gorgeous! Would love to know the white paint selection in the entryway.
