This Christmas, Southern Living magazine is brimming with beautifully decorated homes for the holiday. Today we will take a peek at three…
First is the “Delta Folly” designed by the late Julia Reed with architect James F. Carter. Julia passed away in August after a battle with cancer, but “she would have wanted to share these photographs of her place all decked out for the season that made her the happiest,” the publication reports. “She was a Contributing Editor at Southern Living for several years and was constantly coming up with creative ways to decorate and celebrate.”
Next is the Charleston home of Jordan Kruse and James Hewlette. freshly updated by residential designer James B. Laughlin. Described as “Masculine Southern” style, the home was built for entertaining and “feels as good with just the two of us as it does with 100,” said Hewlette.
Last but not least is a tour of the 1842 downtown Savannah home of Monica Lavin, founder of the lifestyle blog Lavin Label. “When we first moved in, we thought of this as a holiday house and looked forward to entertaining our friends and family here,” said Lavin. A sophisticated palette featuring greens and blues along with treasured family keepsakes create a beautiful and inviting home for the holidays.
And finally, if you are still seeking inspiration for your Christmas shopping, Lacelliese and I are sharing our wishlists!
