Built in 1913, Tina had long admired this house from afar.  “My husband used to say he would love to buy a house on the water, and I would half-jokingly say the only way I would move is if that house came on the market (the one we bought),” she said. “Sure enough a few years later, it comes on the market, we went to look at it more just because we wanted to see it and I kind of fell in love.”

The gracious, elegant home was meticulously maintained like a rare jewel by a woman who raised her family and lived in the home for the last 60 years. Being on the water was a huge perk. Greenhouse, another perk. Pool and tennis double the fun. When Tina first walked in, she knew they had to buy it as it embodied everything she loves.

“It just felt like a perfect family compound, and while it’s a large home, it’s not the huge scale of my other house. It feels elegant, old world, grand in a cozy way,” Tina said. “I have always admired beautiful big white houses with black shutters and now I live in one!”

With new surroundings to explore, Tina chose a traditional Christmas look, embracing the timeless allure of classic blue and white peppered with festive pops of red. Set against the lush backdrop of fresh greens, the result is a magical celebration that is undeniably merry and truly enchanting…

To establish an elegant and festive ambiance, Tina adorned the door frame with lush cedar and filled her planters with a blend of fresh greens and faux berries creating an enchanting “Merry Christmas” welcome. Upon entering the foyer, attention is drawn to a majestic Christmas tree. Standing tall and resplendently adorned in timeless blue and white ornaments accentuated by charming red bows, it sets the tone for the rest of the home.
