Welcome to TGP Tidbits where we round up the happenings and our musings of the design industry each week. This week we take a look at Farrow & Ball Introduces The Heritage Papers, Cabana Comes to New York, and Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas. Written by Natalie Aldridge.
Farrow & Ball Introduces The Heritage Papers
In celebration of its 80th anniversary, beloved British paint and wallpaper house Farrow & Ball has turned to its archives for inspiration with the introduction of The Heritage Papers, a beautiful new limited edition collection of historic wallpaper designs.

The collection features three patterns in fourteen colorways, each with its own interesting history. Sweet Pea, a delicate Edwardian floral, was originally discovered in a house on Scotland’s west coast, while Gothic, with its architectural arches, was inspired by a historic wallpaper found in a Worcestershire staircase hall. Completing the collection is Vine Leaf, a charming botanical pattern rediscovered in the Farrow & Ball archives and produced as wallpaper for the first time.

We have always had a soft spot for historic wallpapers, and it is wonderful to see these forgotten designs brought back to life. There is something so magical about the character and charm of an old pattern, especially when paired with a fresh palette. Seeing the papers in situ really let them shine. A lovely reminder that often the best inspiration is found in the past. The full collection can be viewed here!
Cabana Comes to New York
New Yorkers are in for a treat this November as Cabana Magazine is bringing its colorful world to Madison Avenue with a special pop-up at Carolina Herrera, just in time for the upcoming holiday season!

For two weeks, the boutique will host a wonderful assortment of a tabletop pieces, decorative accessories, and gifts from the world of Cabana. Among the highlights are a new Thanksgiving tabletop collaboration with fashion designer Tabitha Simmons, the debut of Cabana Home, and pieces from its collaboration with Porcelli. With the holidays fast approaching, we can hardly think of a better excuse to get a head start on our Christmas shopping.

Knowing Cabana, the pop-up sure to be a feast for the eyes, and we are particularly excited to see how the magazine’s signature mix of pattern, color, and old-world charm translates into the space. If you find yourself on Madison Avenue this November, be sure to stop in!

Kips Bay Decorator Show House Returns to Dallas
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is returning to Dallas this November, and we could not be more excited! The celebrated showhouse will once again take over the historic estate at 2999 Turtle Creek Boulevard, bringing together 20 talented designers to transform the home. This year is particularly special, as it marks the final showhouse at the Turtle Creek property, which has been home to some truly memorable rooms over the past three years.

This year’s impressive roster includes Coco & Dash, Betsy Wentz, Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studio, John Bobbitt of Bobbitt & Company, and plenty of other familiar faces and exciting new talent. With even more of the estate being opened up for the designers to reimagine, we can only imagine what wonderful surprises are in store.

The showhouse opens to the public on November 14th and runs through December 6th, with proceeds benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, Dwell with Dignity, and The Crystal Charity Ball. We always love the wonderful creativity and camaraderie that these showhouses bring to the design community, all in support of such worthwhile causes.
