October Musings

Happy Halloween! The holidays are now upon us, are you ready? This time of year I always wish I could wiggle my nose like Samantha from Bewitched and poof... everything would magically be in its place!

Thanksgiving is actually my favorite holiday, and I am already thinking about tablescapes. Last year I featured 30 Blue and White Tablescapes for Thanksgiving, and the post is inspiring me again for this year's theme.

And speaking of tablescapes, my friend Laurie Byrne of LB Originals always sets the most beautiful table, and I was excited to learn about her new pop up boxes! Now we can all bring a little of Laurie's signature style into our homes with her carefully curated place settings and accessories designed to complement your own pieces.

I have also started working on our holiday cards. We had our annual family portrait taken last weekend, and I should have the proofs soon. I have selected the most beautiful cards from Dixie Design Collective, my newest sponsor, and I simply could not be more excited. I chose the "Blue Toile Crest" designed by Gina Langford, whose work has been featured in Town & Country! You can read more about Dixie here.

Thanks to my favorite fashion blogger, Teggy French, I purchased these fabulous crystal-embellished tartan plaid pumps from Nordstrom... They are adorable, and priced under $100. Such a deal! I will be wearing these all holiday season. (They also come in red plaid and black and white.)

But what I really want this year for Christmas is the Lilly Pulitzer Island Car from the 2016 Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts. I'll take the pink one please, Santa!

  1. I can picture you looking snazzy behind the wheel of that car, Andrea! A word in Santa's ear...

  2. Happy Holidays Andrea!
Loved this post for Halloween! We're already burning the new Ralph Lauren Home Holiday candles, called "Bedford"! Those shoes! Wow! I saw similar in Saks Naples, in electric blue silk with rhinestone on toe and they were like, $4,000.00 seriously! May have been Blahnik? Anyway, your new holiday card is sure to be a keeper and a framer for sure, and I look forward to seeing it !
