When the owners of this 100-year old home, located in the Highland Park neighborhood of Dallas, decided it was time for a refresh, their daughter Perri found the perfect person for the job…. designer Amy Berry. Perri connected with Amy via Instagram, and at her first meeting with the the family, they discovered Amy and Perri had been born on the exact same day at the same Dallas hospital. It was kismet.
Amy embraced the historic home’s ample outdoor space, high ceilings, and open layout, turning it into a sanctuary of serenity in the middle of the busy city. She also created a cozy poolside outdoor living area that is as luxurious as a fabulous hotel cabana… and 100% pet- and wet swimsuit-proof. The home is featured in the June issue of Southern Living with photography by Manuel Hector Sanchez. Additional images are from Amy Berry’s portfolio…
