Christmas is only 10 days away, are you ready? If you are still looking for the perfect gift for that special someone, please visit my Shop for holiday gift ideas. You can also shop Oprah’s Favorite Things, curated especially for Amazon… thank goodness for Amazon Prime two-day shipping! And if you still need inspiration getting into the holiday spirit, today we are visiting a circa 1822 Federal style home in the Connecticut countryside, designed by Jenny Wolf. The homeowners are Southern, and the home is filled with antiques collected from their families, like the map of North Carolina in the family room. They also wanted the home to reflect its period and place, so Wolf added plenty fine antiques from the Brimfield flea market in Massachusetts, including the 18th century portrait in the “men’s den.” With chintz, blue and white, and monograms sprinkled in, this home is my idea of perfection! Another gorgeous house with your wonderful commentary! Merry Christmas Andrea!
I adore all of your posts & I am so happy pretty and traditional is so popular again! Thanks for all of your hard work to keep me happy in the deep South on the North shore of New Orleans in my traditional mansion filled with global treasures after retiring from Wall Street!!! Merry Christmas
I love that you compile all these pretties into one post. I am loving all of the custom lamp shades these days. That red one is wonderful. I think I am going to have to splurge and try this. I found a place on Etsy that does them.
I loved this house, it had so many of my favorites. Alas, I am a Southern at heart only but try to bring a little of that flair to Wisconsin
Such a beautiful room! Happy to see the return of new “traditional”. Do you think the B&F Les Touches is the woven or printed fabric? It almost looks like the woven in “canton” blue. Love your blog!
