Palm Beach is in full season, and there is so much fabulous Palm Beach style to share! I am getting very excited for the second annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, which is open to the public January 26, 2019 through February 20. The Fountain House, a Mediterranean-style home on the Intracoastal Waterway, has been transformed by 21 participating designers including Meg Braff, Cindy Rinfret, Lee Ann Thornton, Danielle Rollins, Lee Robinson, and Louise Cronan. Bunny Williams is honorary chair with design chairs Ellie Cullman, Pauline Pitt, and Steele Marcoux. The Palm Beach Show House will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in Bronx, New York. Please click here for additional information.

Do you have a new apartment, vacation home, or maybe your own home needs a facelift? Designer Leta Austin Foster has launched an exciting new design concept, PREtty FABulous Rooms. Clients choose a pre-arranged room scheme and provide a rough sketch of their space with dimensions. Leta and her team will then provide a floor plan along with advice on paint and any needed additions, such as blinds or another sofa.
The PREFAB rooms include American-made furniture and beautiful fabrics from leading companies such as Sister Parish Design and Quadrille. While nothing can be removed from the plan, almost anything can be added. Each room is assembled for the client and delivered via truck with white glove service. The designs are timeless yet fresh, and they can be mixed with cherished antiques, vintage finds, or modern pieces that express the client’s personal style. PREFAB provides people all over the country with access to Leta Austin Foster’s services for almost half retail pricing. For additional information, please visit www.prettyfabulousrooms.
And to see Leta’s latest Palm Beach project, which was featured in the December issue of House Beautiful, click here. Leta was awarded the prestigious Addison Mizner Award for the interior design by the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA).

If you are interested in learning more about historic preservation in Palm Beach, a beautiful new book was released last fall by Rizzoli. Palm Beach: An Architectural Heritage features 38 classic homes and other buildings that have been restored or preserved with a high degree of sensitivity and taste, and which have won the coveted Ballinger Award–presented by the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach to commemorate a restoration or renovation that best exemplifies the traditions of Palm Beach’s original houses and the architects who designed them. It includes work by Palm Beach’s celebrated architects Addison Mizner, Marion Sims Wyeth, and Maurice Fatio.
