Set on three and a half acres of rolling grounds amid the winding lanes and grand estates of Long Island’s North Shore, Nancy Hoguet (a descendent of the storied Rothschild family) knew this six-bedroom house would be a wonderful place to raise a family. She and her husband purchased the home in 1990, but after the children left home and Nancy’s marriage ended, she decided it was time for a new beginning. She purchased a pre-war apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and then called upon designer Daniel Sachs and architect Kevin Lindores of Sachs Lindores for the interiors. The duo also reimagined the Long Island estate as a country getaway. With her master’s degree in contemporary art from Sotheby’s and a sprinkling of family heirlooms, Sachs and Lindores created the perfect haven for Nancy, mingling global textiles with contemporary art and quirky antiques. Let’s take a look inside via Architectural Digest…
This tour is from the July 1, 2016 issue of Architectural Digest with photography by Miguel Flores-Vianna. A Wandering Eye, Flores-Vianna’s spectacular new book, will be released later this month!

Beautiful place!
I guess this is why they call it “LE Gout Rothschild”….I think these interiors are just perfection. Everything is just beautiful taste. I did not see this Architectural Digest, and am so glad you posted these lovely pictures.
