Situated in the enchanting neighborhood of Old Preston Hollow’s Sunnybrook Estates, 9446 Hathaway Street is a 1940s architectural gem spanning 7,992 square feet, just waiting to be transformed.

This year’s show house will showcase the work of twenty-two of the nation’s most esteemed designers and architects. In just a matter of weeks, the 1940s gem will be transformed into a beautiful haven with inspiration abounding. Let’s take a look at some of the designers’ incredible renderings.

In addition to the exquisite renderings, we bring you a look inside the annual Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club President’s Dinner Dallas. On October 5th, the design world gathered for the prestigious dinner to celebrate Holly Moore, a longtime supporter and Editor in Chief/Co-Owner of PaperCity Magazine. The evening raised over $300,000 for the Crystal Charity Ball, Dwell with Dignity, and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, in addition to supporting the 2023 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas. The gala featured renowned designers, a delightful dinner, and musical performances by Kips Bay Club members.

As expected, the scene was stunning. From the breathtaking tablescapes to the enchanting room and most of all the wonderful guests, the evening was a sight to behold. Have a look!

Tory Burch for Robert Kime

In 2020, the Tory Burch and the late Robert Kime released their first iteration of The Nara Collection. Drawing inspiration from their joint expedition to Japan in 2019, the Nara Collection takes its name from the ancient city of Nara, renowned for its historic temples, shrines, and ruins. During this journey, the Robert Kime, Tory Burch, and Robert Kime’s managing direct, Orlando Atty, immersed themselves in the cities and their surroundings, gaining valuable insights into the area’s rich cultural heritage and history.

Robert Kime Ltd. and Tory Burch are now proud to introduce Nara II, the latest installment of fabrics and wallpapers within The Nara Collection. Take a look at the alluring and deeply storied collection! The full line can be viewed here.

Frances Elkins: Visionary American Designer

Revered as “the most innovative designer in our history” according to Billy Baldwin, Frances Elkins remains an enduring icon, celebrated for her timeless, intellectually inspired, and multifaceted interiors. With an international perspective influenced by her architect brother David Adler and an incredible circle of luminaries such as interior designer Jean-Michel Frank, couturière Coco Chanel, and painter Salvador Dali, she brought modern European sensibility to traditional design principles.

Almost 100 years later, her work remains a constant source of reference and inspiration for designers. To commemorate her legacy, arts and design historian and renowned lecturer on Frances Elkins, Scott Powell, has curated the most comprehensive collection of Elkins’s work through never-before-published photographs. A true labor of love, Frances Elkins: Visionary American Designer, is must for all design lovers.

Pioneering her field, Elkins achieved remarkable success as a decorator, attaining the pinnacle of her profession by the early 1930s and earning the distinction of being the sole challenger to Elsie de Wolfe. From her beginnings on the Monterey Peninsula to her collaborations with her brother in 1920s and 1930s Chicago, and from notable hotel projects like the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu to residences for figures like Edward G. Robinson, Celia Tobin Clark, and Albert Lasker, Elkins’ produced iconic interiors with an enviable range.
