Welcome to TGP Tidbits where we round up the happenings and our musings of the design industry each week. This week we take a look at The Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2026, Summerill & Bishop x Blackberry Farm, and The Glam Pad’s debut on Substack. Written by Natalie Aldridge.
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2026
One of the design world’s most anticipated annual traditions has officially revealed its next address. The Kips Bay Decorator Show House will return to Greenwich Village this fall for its 2026 New York edition. The celebrated fundraiser will transform the historic townhouse at 80 W. Washington Place into an extraordinary showcase of design talent when it opens to the public on September 16th.

Built in 1839 by William W. Berwick, the stately Georgian red-brick residence spans nearly 8,700 square feet across six levels and has a fascinating history. Once home to celebrated composer John Philip Sousa, the meticulously restored townhouse will provide this year’s designers with an exceptional architectural canvas. Original period details will be joined by dramatic contemporary amenities, including multiple landscaped terraces, a double-height great room, and a rooftop overlooking Washington Square Park.

Since its founding in 1973, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has become far more than a showcase of beautiful interiors. The annual fundraiser has launched countless careers, spotlighted many of the industry’s most celebrated talents, and raised more than $33 million in support of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Each year, the announcement of the house gives the first glimpse of what is sure to become one of the season’s most talked-about design events, and we cannot wait to see how this remarkable Greenwich Village townhouse is transformed. Stay tuned!
Summerill & Bishop x Blackberry Farm
There are few pairings more fitting than Summerill & Bishop and Blackberry Farm, two brands united by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, hospitality, and the beauty found in everyday. Their new collaboration, a collection of table linens inspired by Blackberry Farm’s gardens, history, and traditions, celebrates the art of gathering around the table, something we so often celebrate at The Glam Pad.

Created after Summerill & Bishop founder Seb Bishop spent time on the Tennessee property with his longtime friend Mary Celeste Beall, the collection tells the story of the farm through two thoughtfully designed patterns. One design pairs delicate lenten roses, among Mary Celeste’s favorite flowers, with pea pods inspired by Andy Saftel’s painting Sam’s Time, a tribute to the late Sam Beall and the couple’s five children. The second pattern is a fresh interpretation of the well-worn denim seen throughout the gardens, particularly John Coykendall’s iconic overalls, softened with graceful hydrangea blooms.

Equal parts rustic and refined, the collection captures an elegance for which both Summerill & Bishop and Blackberry Farm are known. We just adore this collection and hope you do as well! Shop here.
