Cloaked in traditional stucco, the façade was painted white. Urns were added to the roof, and custom-built pillars now line the driveway.
Serving as a foyer, living room, breakfast area, and gallery, the main salon showcases six Louis XVI dining chairs, which set the tone for the soft blue palette used throughout the house. Todd and Amy purchased the chairs in Paris and hand-stamped their leather upholstery with gold-leaf detailing.
Todd transformed a forgotten utility room into an exotic sunroom at the rear of the home. A set of silk panels by de Gournay was retained from a previous residence and reinstalled to hide doors to the laundry room and utility closets. The nook is furnished with a Todd Hase Bonsai daybed with white-lacquer legs and Sunbrella fabric, a Ching Dynasty elephant sculpture, and a Directoire campaign table bearing a Barovier gold blown-glass sea horse lamp.
The Florida room turned bedroom features ceilings with cypress-wood beams. To outfit the room for their teenage daughter Chloe, the couple added a queen-size Todd Hase Louvre daybed, a Louis XVI semainier, a pair of Louis XVI fauteuils, a sheepskin-wrapped Art Deco tea table, and a Versailles-style crystal chandelier. The pièce de résistance: A life-size portrait of Chloe’s show horse, Brando, graces the wall.
The guesthouse offers views of the tropical garden and pool. A vintage 1970s art mirror over the bed bounces sunlight into the room.
The sky-blue master bedroom features a Todd Hase Louvre headboard in a silver-leaf finish with Robert Allen silk. On the opposite wall, the Hases installed Palladian windows and tall double French doors that open onto the outdoor pavilion.
On the terrace, an awning was installed to create a space for indoor-outdoor relaxation and entertaining. The white-lacquer sofas, upholstered in Sunbrella fabric, are from the Todd Hase Louis XXI collection. Vintage Karl Springer drum tables provide a spot for cocktails and snacks.
Fashioned from mother-of-pearl and black gunite, the picturesque pool is bordered by a lush landscape that includes orchids, coconut palms, and succulents.
