Based in Hampshire, England, Max Rollitt is an antique dealer, an interior designer, and a furniture maker. His work combines classical elegance and sophistication with rich texture, bold and unusual colour combinations, and comfort. He has regularly appeared in the House & Garden and Country Life Top 100 Interior Designers. Today we are touring two beautiful homes from his portfolio and featured by House & Garden.
The first home is a Hampshire vicarage Rollitt brought back to life for a young couple starting from scratch with no furniture and a blank slate. When describing his process and journey in transforming this house, he told House & Garden, “It’s the beauty of having a shop… It means I can try things out and source particular items if I feel a room needs them.” The level of layers and detail throughout the home are truly incredible. it is hard to believe that it was gathered, furnished, and arranged in a matter of days and months. “These are the details that make the house feel not just decorated, but lived in and loved,” he said…
The second home is a 17th century farmhouse Rollitt transformed for a couple relocating from London to the Oxfordshire countryside. They wanted to maintain the history of the home, the charm, and the integrity of the existing layout, so they called upon the expertise of antiques dealer and interior designer Max Rollitt.
I am so impressed with this designer! To learn more, please visit Max Rollitt’s website and follow @max_rollitt on Instagram.

Lovely. The brick structure itself is so beautiful . The wallpapers are gorgeous. Great tour!
Charming. None of that sterile nonsense so many Americans go for. And a chaise percée! Haven’t seen a box bed like that in a while. Very cosy.
English decor defined …period. Gardens to match!!
