Jenny Rose-Innes is an author, blogger, and self-trained designer who resides in Australia by way of South Africa. She also happens to be one of my favorite follows on Instagram where shares inspiration with her 115,000+ followers. Jenny and her husband, Michael, live in a charming cottage that she has beautifully designed in The Southern Highlands New South Wales, and they have also renovated many properties in South Africa and in Australia. Jenny is the author of Australian Designers at Home (which I reviewed last year) and today we will take a peek inside her latest book, British Designers at Home.

British Designers at Home takes you inside the personal homes of over 20 of the most important names in British design and decoration including: Alidad; Edward Bulmer; Emma Burns; Nina Campbell; Jane Churchill; Octavia Dickinson; Mike Fisher; Veere Grenney; Beata Heuman; Gavin Houghton; Roger Jones; Kit Kemp; Robert Kime; Rita Konig; Penny Morrison; Paolo Moschino; Wendy Nicholls; Guy Oliver; Colin Orchard; Carlos Sânchez-GarcÃa; Daniel Slowik; Justin van Breda; Sarah Vanrenen and Philip Vergeylen.
Each designer has been profiled and photographed at home alongside details of their working life and the story of how they became interested in design. They share the thinking behind their home’s design and decoration. From the unexpected to that classic British look, this is an exciting look at modern British interiors.
Let’s take a peek inside British Designers at Home with photography by Simon Griffiths…

“The idea of home is almost always bound up in stories and the passing of time: the object passed down by a favourite grandmother; the thought of winter evenings by the fireside, the quiet hours spend reading a book in the armchair that catches the light at the right time of day.” ~ Jenny Rose-Innes

One of my favorite books. The beauty that surrounds each home, the use of color and texture.
Love all the maximalism. The British embrace colour in a very pleasing way. I find the Fisher interiors the most cohesive and elegant. Looks like an interesting book.
This is a fabulous book — one of my favorites! Also, folks should have a look at Near and Far, and Robert Kime. Both of those are a treat, too. Far from bland.
Thank you so much for this wonderful blog post featuring British Designers At Home!.. I’m honoured and thrilled! Jenny
