Welcome to TGP Tidbits where we round up the happenings and our musings of the design industry each week. This week we take a look at Tate Reynolds’ chic new venture in Louisville, London’s Winter Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair, and wish everyone a Happy New Year!. Written by Natalie Aldridge.
Tate Reynolds’ Chic New Venture
A stylish new gem has opened its doors in Louisville, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. After spending 15 years in New York perfecting his craft at Ralph Lauren, Tate Reynolds returned to his hometown in 2019 with a bold vision. At Ralph Lauren, he transitioned from menswear to Ralph Lauren Home, where he designed luxurious textiles and bedding in collaboration with some of the world’s finest mills, weavers, and artisans. This experience not only deepened his appreciation for exceptional craftsmanship but also shaped his signature style: a love for textiles and an undeniable talent for creating warm, layered spaces.

This fall, Tate unveiled his new design studio and shop, a space that feels more like stepping into his home than a workspace. It’s a treasure trove of original art, antiques, and curated finds, designed to inspire. From classic English antiques and primitive American artifacts to mid-century gems, the mix is undeniably Tate. Thoughtful, unexpected, and endlessly charming!

Textile lovers will swoon over the rugs, custom pillows, and reupholstered furniture, while art enthusiasts can browse a rotating collection of hard-to-find pieces. Even the details have a story—like a custom work table by a local craftsman and a flower vanity fashioned from a vintage farm sink.

The back of the studio is where the magic happens. There is a wonderful fabric library, a spacious work table for client meetings, and a private office where Tate brings his visions to life. Whether you’re a collector, a designer hunting for that perfect piece, or just curious, the studio is open Tuesday through Friday, 11:00am to 4:00am, or by appointment.

If you’re in Louisville, be certain to check it out! And do not forget to visit his website here and follow along on Instagram for on going inspiration.
London’s Winter Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair
Mark your calendars! London’s winter edition of The Decorative Fair is just around the corner. This triannual event transforms Battersea Park into a treasure trove of style, where over 130 dealers gather to showcase their incredible wares. Think antiques, fine and decorative art, and modernist design in abundance. From stately 18th-century furniture to sleek 20th-century finds, plus a sprinkling of contemporary paintings, prints, and sculptures, the offerings are a meticulously curated celebration of craftsmanship.

Globally renowned, this fair is a siren call for design aficionados, sharp-eyed collectors, and anyone who knows their Windsor chair from their Wassily. Of its three annual editions, the winter fair is the perfect way to start the new year—a veritable feast of inspiration. Having had the pleasure of attending the autumn edition this year, I can confidently say it did not disappoint. The prices were fair, and the goods were remarkable. Whether you’re hunting for a striking piece of art, a future heirloom, or simply something to make your guests green with envy, this fair promises to leave your imagination utterly satisfied.
Slated for January 21st to the 26th, tickets can be purchased here!
