Jean Harlow’s Home for Sale, LoveShackFancy x Target, and Jenny Walton’s Jenny Sais Quoi

Welcome to TGP Tidbits where we round up the happenings and our musings of the design industry each week. This week we take a look at Jean Harlow’s Estate Hits the Market, LoveShackFancy x Target, and Jenny Walton’s Jenny Sais Quoi. Written by Natalie Aldridge.

Jean Harlow’s Estate Hits the Market

If these walls could talk! Old Hollywood has always had a way of capturing our imagination, and few stars embody its enduring glamour quite like Jean Harlow. Listed by David Kramer, the icon’s legendary Holmby Hills estate has just hit the market for $16.8 million, giving us a rare opportunity to step inside one of Hollywood’s most storied residences. Built in 1932, the stately Colonial Revival home remains a beautiful time capsule of the Golden Age, quietly tucked behind a canopy of nearly century-old magnolia trees.

While the estate has been updated over the years, many of its original details remain intact. Marble fireplaces, elegant boiserie paneling, crown moldings, and arched built-in bookcases preserve the home’s original character. There is even a hidden Prohibition-era bar concealed behind a library bookcase, giving us a delightful glimpse into Hollywood’s glamorous past. Outside, the sprawling grounds feature a pool with its original diving board, koi ponds, waterfalls, a tennis court, and two greenhouses, all lending the property the romantic grandeur of another era.

At The Glam Pad, we’ll never tire of homes that tell a story, especially those steeped in the magic of Old Hollywood. This is far more than a beautiful house. It’s a remarkably preserved piece of cinematic history that still whispers of glittering dinner parties, silver screen legends, and the effortless elegance that continues to define Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Jenny Walton’s Jenny Sais Quoi

Jenny Walton, renowned New York illustrator, fashion influencer and style icon, is a constant source of inspiration with her impeccable style, retro-inspired charm, whimsical wit, and endless creativity. So naturally, Jenny Sais Quoi: Adventures in Vintage & Personal Style, published by Monacelli, was one of our most anticipated book releases of the year. We are delighted to report that it is every bit as charming, clever, and wonderfully unexpected as Jenny herself.

Part memoir, part style guide, and part visual diary, the book offers a colorful peek inside Jenny’s imagination. Thoughtful personal essays, humorous stories, and poetic musings are interwoven with more than 150 of her own illustrations, paintings, and photographs, exploring everything from the value of vintage to finding one’s own authentic sense of style.

The book itself is every bit as creative as its author. Playful surprises are tucked throughout, including an artist’s palette-shaped die-cut, a miniature journal filled with sketches and musings, and split pages that allow readers to mix and match illustrated outfits. It is the sort of book to pore over, revisit, and leave permanently within arm’s reach.

What we have always loved most about Jenny is her refusal to take fashion, or herself, too seriously. It has been such fun following her journey over the years, from New York to Milan and now California with her fiancé, watching her style and creative world evolve along the way. Through it all, her world has remained elegant but playful, beautiful but never precious, and always guided by curiosity and a delight in the unexpected. Jenny Sais Quoi captures that spirit perfectly. If you, like us, believe life is infinitely more interesting with a little wit, whimsy, and vintage thrown in, consider this essential reading. LoveShackFancy x Target

There are few brands today that have so successfully carved out a world of their own as LoveShackFancy. Since its debut in 2013, Rebecca Hessel Cohen‘s unabashedly romantic aesthetic of faded florals, ribbons, ruffles, and vintage-inspired femininity has become instantly recognizable. Now, the brand is bringing its unmistakably girlish universe back to Target with its largest collaboration to date, infusing the everyday with a healthy dose of charm. With over 200 pieces, most under $25, LoveShackFancy x Target is perfectly timed for back to school.

Launching July 5, the collection features more than 200 pieces spanning women’s, girls’, and baby apparel, accessories, beauty, stationery, home décor, and more. True to form, nearly every piece is adorned with the brand’s signature prints and pastel palette. It’s a thoughtful expansion of the original collaboration, offering plenty of opportunities to bring a little LoveShackFancy magic into everyday life without the designer price tag.

Officially, the collection is designed with back-to-school season in mind, but we’d argue many of the best pieces transcend the classroom. Floral notebooks, bow-adorned hair accessories, charming cosmetic cases, and cheerful desk accessories feel just as fitting for brightening a home office as a school backpack. If past LoveShackFancy launches are any indication, the prettiest pieces won’t linger for long, so consider this your gentle reminder to set an alarm! The collaboration is available in stores starting July 5 and online starting July 5 at 5am CDT.
