Historic Palm Beach Oceanfront for Sale

I always love scouring the Palm Beach real estate listings, and I found a really beautiful one to share today... Built in 1924, this lovely home offers breathtaking ocean views, two original fireplaces, original hard wood floors, and some pretty fabulous blue and white decor. But what I love most is its intriguing history....

It is rumored that the elevator was built by the home's second owners - the Luden family - for their dear friend, President Franklin D. Roosevelt. And the home contains a closet with false panel and hooks (which appears to be a coat closet)... It leads downstairs to a hidden basement, which stored liquor during Prohibition.  Today, it is used as a 3,000-bottle wine cellar. Oh, if these walls could talk!

This home is perfection! You can view a three-minute video with additional history and pictures here, and click here for the real estate listing.

  1. Nice house, although the furniture looks rather lost in it. With the right decorator, it could be fantastic.
