Sarah Bartholomew is a favorite designer here at The Glam Pad, and her latest project is positively breathtaking. Located in Greenwich, Connecticut, this classic Georgian-style manor home was built in the early 2000s, but it looks as though it could have built the 1920s… It is timeless. Today we are taking a tour with photography by Melanie Acevedo and commentary from Sarah herself!

I wanted to create a grand moment in the room connecting the formal living and dining room. A bullion fringed table skirt, custom Pierre Frey banquettes and Furlow-Gatewood inspired decorative wall brackets and botanical prints achieved this. The room was grounded in a custom Beauvais carpet with marigold, blue and green to tie the wing of the house together.

The incredible mural Iksel wallcovering is the star of the dining room. To maximize the decorative nature of the room, an Antique Chinoiserie etagere with incredible inlay fit the bill along with a hand-block print for drapery and small-scale woven for the dining chairs. This is a room where more is more!

Lining the walls of the living room in a subtle marigold ticking stripe offered a warm inviting air to the great space. This color was the foundation of the room and the fabrics, furnishings and art fell into place after that.

The silhouette of this Antique Anglo-Indian bench (found at the fields of Brimfield) creates a graphic moment, all the while the elements of the vignette are traditional in air. It’s the epitome of refined classicism. A series of engravings framed in French mats coordinate with the walls and bench cushion to tie the scheme together.

Sophisticated man cave was the idea behind this wood paneled study. Warm, handsome texture and pattern with sumptuous windowpane check drapes play off custom chairs in a stronger palette and casual weave.

So pretty!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the dining room with the plates framed on the paneling. It looks like the panels are concealed doors- I wonder what’s on the other side!
I love the decorating! I was wondering if the captains chairs in the dining room were converted from a regular chair to the upholstered backs. I really like the look.
