Mary McDonald for Schumacher in the Nursery

6

Lately I have been consumed by nurseries, as we are expecting a baby boy this summer. And as you know, I am in the midst of decorating his nursery for the One Room Challenge. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the beautiful nurseries I have been admiring… for both boys and girls. Let’s start with three exquisite nurseries decorated with fabric from Mary McDonald’s line for Schumacher. The first two feature Chinois Palais, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite prints. All three baby girl nurseries also feature beautiful monograms and Lucite accents. They are sophisticated, glamorous, and elegant, and will transition beautifully into young adulthood.

For baby Scarlett, Hallie was able to recreate this antique monogram she found in a book of old monograms from Amazon. Lynn Wright with the Monogram Market in Houston turned it into a digital stitch file and customized the coloration to match the nursery.  The result is positively stunning!

I absolutely love this timeless look for a baby girl. Stay tuned for more beautiful nursery inspiration!

A Purple Palm Beach Shower by Luxe Report Designs

The ladies at Luxe Report Designs have done it again! This lavender Palm Beach baby shower was inspired by Danika Herrick’s super fun Scalamandre-esque zebra fabric for Spoonflower. Additional black and white accents plus pops of gold/brass and crystal/Lucite create a glamorous and feminine vibe.

Each guest received their own ceramic zebra trinket box (filled with coffee truffles) as a favor.
Brunch was quiche and mixed greens and for dessert, mini pies, berries, and fresh cream.
Pink mums make a lovely centerpiece!

Beverages included mini lattes, blueberry lemonade, and Bellinis.
Lavender accents in the living room coordinate perfectly, and Tuni the Yorkshire Terrier joins in the fun!
